* We meet every third Sunday of each month, for a couple of hours of reading poetry, our own or others. The meetings usually take place in a back room at a pub. We also issue a magazine where members’ work is published, Under The Hill. It’s issued roughly 3 times a year, free to members of our group. We have also held public readings, and taken part in other events by invitations.
* There's a poetry and music event at the Sayle Gallery 7.00 for 7.30 Friday September 17. Called 'A World of Difference' it will feature poems on the theme of change and difference in relationships and perspectives. Readers Howard Caine and Debs Gwinnell. There'll be songs from Hazel Teare and her daughter (ex-Twisted Angel.) And an opportunity to view Eileen Schaer's remarkable artworks. And nibbles and soft drinks. * Also we have an event, 'Celtic Connection', at the Central Library, on Friday October 15. (same time.) Kenneth Stephen, a Scots poet brought over by IoM Arts Council will be reading from his work. And there will be Manx musicians complementing the poems. Plus refreshments. Tickets same pricing from Jeff Garland or the Library.
